  • The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1989. 

  • 1989 – Undergraduate courses

  • 1994- Postgraduate course PGDMISCA

  • 1998- M.Sc (Computer Science)

  • 1998- B.C.A an undergraduate course

  • 2001- MSc (Information Systems).

  • 2019 - MSc (Data Science)

  • There are about 8 Computer Labs to cater to all the courses in the college.

  • The department is having well qualified and experienced faculty members.

  • The faculty is a perfect blend of different specializations in Computer Science to impart their expertise in handling diversified courses of the UG and PG programs.

  • The ICT teaching methods are efficiently used by the staff.

  • Apart from the academic course curriculum, the students of computer science are provided with add-on, IDE and certificate courses to enhance the student’s employability skills.

  • The department is having strong association with industries to uplift the student’s practical knowledge.

  • Organised a Guest Lecture on "Artificial Intelligence" on 13th December 2019 for MSc(Data Science) students.

  • Organised a Guest Lecture on "Natural Language Processing" on 18th December 2019.

  • Organised a Three-Day Workshop on "Python" from 16-18 December 2019 for MSc (Data Science) Students.

  • Organised an Orientation Session on "Posting Attendance online using Google Sheets" for the faculty on 2nd June 2018

  • Organized an Orientation Program for Non-Teaching staff from 10 - 13 March 2017 on "Computer Basics & MS-Office", under center for Digital Literacy.

  • Organized an Outreach Program for Neighborhood Women from 10 - 13 March 2017 on "Usage of Internet & Internet of Things", under center for Digital Literacy. 

  • Organized 5 Day Workshop on “Android” for Computer Science Staff and Students on 2nd to 6th January 2017.

  • Organized a Guest Lecture on “Stock Market” for BBMT and MSc(CS) year students , by V.Santosh Reddy, working in Advisory Services in Equity Market & Portfolio Management, Resource Person for Bombay Stock Exchange on 4th July 2016.

  • Organized a Guest Lecture on "Computer Networks & Internet Protocols", by Mr.Venu Madhavan, Assistant Professor, Jagruthi Degree College & PG College on 18th April 2016.

  • Organized 3 Day Workshop on “Android” for Computer Science Staff and Students on 29th,30th and 31st December 2015.

  • Organized a One-Day computer science exhibition on the topic “Mobile Communications & Networking” for MSc(Computer Science) I & II Year Students on 28th March 2016.
